Dr. Barrows grew up in a small town in Indiana. He moved to Indianapolis in to attend college at Indiana University and Purdue University where he studied biology and chemistry, eventually attending Indiana University School of Dentistry where he graduated in 1995. Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Barrows was awarded a commission in the United States Navy where he served 3 years as a dental officer on the marine base in Yuma, AZ.
During his time in the Navy in Yuma he realized that Yuma would be the place where he would call home so he opened a new office in 1999 and has been in private practice ever since.
Dr. Barrows has continued to update his skills, especially in the area of dental technology and cosmetic dentistry and has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education in all aspects of dentistry.
Dr Barrows maintains membership in the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, Arizona Dental Association, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
He gives back to the community through his membership in the Caballeros de Yuma.
Dr. Barrows is married to Julie and they have one son named Aasher, born in 1996, two jack russell terriors named Jacque and Gus, 4 fish, 3 frogs and 4 snails.
When not providing outstanding dental care to his guests, Dr Barrows enjoys spending time with his family, playing in his band and watching UFC. His secret desire is to be a great songwriter and tour the world as the lead singer of a rock band. "When I started dental school I felt it was time to get rid of my pierced ear and the pony tail in my hair. I think Jon BonJovi stole my life" says Dr. Barrows. He can sometimes be seen around Yuma playing guitar and sing in his band called "HOOK".
